WHY BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast literally means breaking the fast after a long sleep at the night as it is the first meal after sleeping. Unfortunately, out of the three main meals of the day, breakfast is the most neglected or skipped. This action is not healthy for us because breakfast provides the energy that our body and brain need for our daily basis activities. Therefore, there are lots of benefits why breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

It Can Prevent You From Suffering Heart Attack – In a recent study that involves almost 27 000 XY genes, found that those who did not eat a morning meal were 27 percent more likely to develop heart disease than those who did. Research also indicates that people who skip breakfast gain more weight than others which can lead to diabetes as well as high cholesterol and blood pressure which can risk your heart condition. This is because people who skipped breakfast tends to overeat at other meals and snacks excessively throughout the day.

It Might Lower Your Risk Of Type 2 Diabetes – A morning meal may help you avoid fluctuating glucose levels which can lead to diabetes. On a research of almost 30 000 men found that not eating breakfast raised the risk by 21 percent even after taking into account their body mass, what they ate and other factors. In a study of women, those who aged below 65 that skipped breakfast even just for a few times per week were 28 percent more likely to develop diabetes than women who ate breakfast regularly.

It Get You Moving – Food is like fuel for the body so eating a nutritious breakfast means you will have enough energy to burn which can keep you active and productive until lunch rolls around. In a recent study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition ( AJON ), people who ate breakfast were more physically active during the morning rather than those who didn’t.  This might be because a temporally increase in blood sugar that provides them more energy in the morning.

All in a nutshell, breakfast give a lot of benefits for us and is really is the most important meal of the day. Therefore, for those who are planning to skipped breakfast should think about it twice.

WHY STUDENT PLAGIARISE ??

WHST IS PLAGIARISM?

  • Rewriting from books or articles without citation
  • Copying and pasting from web pages and online sources
  • Buying downloading or borrowing a paper
  • Copying your mates assignments or work

Why does this happens among students ? From my opinion most of students do not understand the importance of citation.Students will think that by just looking or searching for ideas is our own idea but in reality you are actually copying. That is why we need citation from our sources to prevent plagirism. Some f the students may not even know how to cite their sources because of copying from the internet is a normal thing to do but really now everyone needs to know the use of citation starting from their school days.

Next student may lack of research skills. This happens when they depend on the internet and web pages too much.Nowadays i agree we can search almost anything in the internet but not all we can directly copy and paste it.We need to do a little research and reading. When we read for instance an article from the internet and the article are close to your assignment do you copy it or you read and do some scanning? So be smart when taking something in the internet or go to the library.

Furthermore, i can say some of the students are lack of confident and mostly have no idea what their assignments are meant. So this type of students would just search it and copy it without thinking. Why i call it lack of confident because there are so many ways to understand a thing you can ask your lecterurs or further understanding but no they choose to copy.

Last but not least students are lazy.I admit this is the biggest problem for most student.First they dont understand their assignments given leads to copying and laziness. Some of them may want to escape from so much work and using the easiest way out which is copying.Other than that, students may panic because they are lack of time.Obviously when the due date is  around the corner.

The conclusion is plagirism can be prevented but students itself must know what they are doing. Some of the reasons above are around us and we tend to do it without realising it.We may think its okay when lecterurs cant detect but plagiarism can leads to serious law actions if caught.

Should Cellphones Be Used During Class

Cellphones used to be so expensive for anyone to have or so big you can’t exactly bring it without it weighing you down. Nowadays it’s almost impossible for people NOT to have, someone as young as 9years old can have their own cellphone. These devices are often used no matter what the user is doing, from standing, driving and even during studying or more specifically in class.

Being a teenager myself, I would say that cellphones is something I must have with me at all times but it doesn’t mean I agree with the usage of it during class. The cell nowadays aren’t like when it first came out which has only one function; calling. Now we can text, take photos, listen to music, search the internet, play games and lots more with it. In other words, it is a huge distraction.

Usage of cellphones during class will bring lots of negatives than positives. Instead of listening to the lectures given, students will tend to use their phone to text, play games and even listen to music especially in a class packed with people. This will happen when they feel bored or doesn’t feel like studying.

Also, other than not focusing; the usage of cellphones enables these students to cheat during tests. Although it may sound impossible for some people, Phone Arena showed some startling statistics about the use of phones for cheating in class. This could be through exchanging text with others, using the Internet to find answers, use phone applications, or reading notes that are saved in the phone.

In addition, cellphones can encourage bullying. These are serious problems among young people nowadays. Since most smartphones has camera and video technology which can be used to capture or videotape bullying incidents. This happens because these students would like to show people what they can do to others and are proud of it.

In conclusion, it is obvious that usage of cellphones in class does more bad than good. I’m sure that most student feels the same way about the negative effects phones can bring. Needless to say, it’s better if we avoid things that would bring more negative than positive.
